Since its from the same developers as War Dust, it's basically just War Dust with a battle royale gamemode. Yet, somehow the game is buggier. You constantly flip through walls if trying to parkour and will die out of nowhere (not as in you got shot by somebody you didnt see, I mean you literally can die from doing nothing). There has been so many times where I have dumped an entire mag into somebody for them to not die, just to have them flip around and kill me in 3 to 4 shots. There's not much variation in weaponry, as you will probably end up with close to the same loadout every game. Vehicles are an awful experience, there's not even a brake option. Either you hit the gas or coast until no longer moving. Not reversing means you can get stuck a lot, especially in larger vehicles. Basically, the game is extremely buggy in its current state, and while it can be enjoyable for about 2 hours, it should not be the price that it is. Good thing I got it on sale, atleast.. After 30 minutes I could easily say I would not recommend this game to anyone in its current state. Early access is not an excuse for the issues I had with the game. The loot is horrendous and unless you drop in a place with multiple building good luck finding a weapon. One game I dropped near a nuke silo with two large buildings and another smaller one "Great place for loot I bet." Wrong. Not a single item much less a weapon. Ran around for 5 scrambling for a weapon searching 3 more buildings before being shot. Fun match. Buildings often on have a single weapon in them IF AT ALL and if you choose the wrong has on a hotter location you are screwed. You can see the circle from the plane so everyone drops in the same place further expounding the loot issues as well as making the rest of the map barren of players. The guns are EXTREMELY loud and not in a good way at all. Need an equalizer for footsteps and weapon fire or something. Also they sound like they came from the 1990's era of video games. A bullet indicator would also be nice. Hard to know where a shot is coming from."Oh but its early access"These should not be issues for a game that has been out this long. If you are itching for BR then grab it on sale like I did.. Graphics are very bad. Uhm... yeah I guess i can try to explain in further detail my experience.I played 3 matches.- First match, I land near a building and immediately notice the graphics are not that great- kinda potato like. which isn't a huge deal normally!! but then I found a gun... somehow the guns felt weird in standout.. maybe because I was comparing them to the guns in wardust which I honestly thought would have looked and felt very similar but in standout it just doesn't feel right... not sure how else to describe that.I didn't last long in this match so on to match 2.-Second match... pretty much the same thing- landed, found a gun. then started trying to find a vehicle but ended up just running across what felt like a very empty map. didn't see anyone for almost 10 minutes and then i found a bot... which is fine. no problem with bots. but I feel as if most of the players I encountered were bots... less exciting than fighting against real people.-After that, right at the start of match number 3... I just felt bored and a huge sense of buyers remorse.. but also no motivation to run through a mostly empty map again.Side note- the inventory system of putting things on your back is weird... very hard to grab for what you intend to grab and it wasn't until i tried to drop a gun that i found out there is an invisible bubble around the waist where you can put stuff- sorta like in wardust- which is totally fine... but I had nooooooo hints or clues that I had an inventory like that.!!- Early Access is early access so I know that this isn't final representation of the final product so I will definitely be watching to see what happens in future updates!I love the other game raptor lab made!! it is my favourite VR game so far... even looking at the release dates on the store pages, I don't understand how Stand Out feels and appears like it is so much further behind in development compared to Wardust.. Do not buy, terrible refinement and graphics look like S***. Hurts my eyes to look at this game. I will not recommend this game until you fix teaming on solos. I'm not playing the game until there are no teams in solos.. Honestly, I've had a lot of fun with this game despite (being kind) its really unpolished presentation. Gave up on it awhile back due to the increase in bugs and the downward spiral of poor design.I picked it up again after the major "pre-full release" update. This turned into at least 6 updates in a row as they kept fixing really obvious things like having the same font size for all of the menu items and putting those items in a straight line.Again I had some fun with it, but in those many patches this week they have been making inexplicable changes that make no sense. It has finally made me give up on it. For example, I love smooth turning and I turn the speed up high on it, but they set smooth turning to hyperspeed. There's no way to change it at all; it's just crazy high speed. So when you click the thumbstick to change fire rate you could accidentally turn almost 90 degrees in that instant. Also, you used to be able to turn off the orientation circle that hovers around your waist to remind you where you are in your room and which direction you're facing. Now you can't turn that off. You just have it in your face blocking your view when you crouch. It's distracting and immersion breaking to the extreme - especially when you're used to playing without it - particularly in night mode. When you add those mystifying changes to the pile of issues that have built up and are ignored by the dev (gunshot sounds getting stuck and repeating at high frequency making buzzing noises going off around you, just dying suddenly for no reason with no kill feed explanation, the barrier movement text appearing directly over your vision in the middle of aiming and firefights, the kill feed text being unreadable a lot of the time such as when it's over sky, the indicator on the navigation map being almost invisible against the strange color choices used on the navigation map, not being able to mute people who scream or play music into the mic while you're stuck with them in the plane, loot disappearing instead of dropping, etc., etc.) it adds up to an experience that I can't recommend. Give someone else your money, and don't enable this kind of bad development.. horrible broken not able to play i hate the fact thet you go thru stair rails, vaulting doesnt really work not very minimum weapons scattered around vehichle handleling is isane really not worth my time or money at that point havent had much time with vr but this is one of the worst game play ive seen so far. graphics a bit subpar. Not very fun and for some reason made me queazy :(.
