Train Simulator: ScotRail Class 68 Loco Add-on Crack By Irfan Doggar

About This Content Expand your Train Simulator collection with this state-of-the-art powerful, mixed traffic Class 68 locomotive. The diesel-electric Class 68, initially built between 2013 and 2014 for Direct Rail Services, was derived from the Eurolight family of locomotives and known as the UKLight by manufacturer Vossloh. An order of 15 locomotives was placed by DRS in January 2012 for use on passenger and intermodal operations around the UK, the first locomotive to be built, 68001 Evolution was sent to the Czech Republic for extensive testing of its power and reliability. The first to enter the UK, 68002 Intrepid arrived in January 2014.DRS mainly use their new locomotives to haul container freight services, however their signed agreement between themselves and Venice-Simplon Orient Express sees Class 68s hauling the Northern Belle service from time to time. With 3800 horsepower, a top speed of 100mph and a hefty weight of 85 tons, the ultra-modern Class 68 is a perfect example of a mixed traffic locomotive, being able to haul heavy freight loads and perform mainline passenger services with ease. The Train Simulator British Rail Class 68 is available in ScotRail Saltire Livery and recreates the locomotive as it operates today for ScotRail over Edinburgh - Glasgow. However, the Class 68, to my absolute delight, is an exception to this. The audio for the loco isn't quite Armstrong Powerhouse standard but it really is a joy to listen to - it sounds great. The engines could be a little more bassy to match the real life sounds, but in all honesty it sounds pretty good anyway. It is also delightful to look at. The class 68 is modelled perfectly with lots of tiny details adding to the immersion. The Mk 2 coaches look a little off but they do the job perfectly well. The loco still lacks a lot of basic cab features such as a DSD, but there are also a lot of nice little features included such as dynamic cab and desk lighting which can be made more or less bright by turning a switch. The Class 68 also comes with a nice little train management system which tracks usage stats for each different numbered loco. When driving the loco you really get a sense of the power behind it and the bassy roar is nice to listen to. A few more run sounds at high speed wouldn't go a miss. It is very easy to accidentally put the train into the emergency break seting, but rather than this being a mark against it's quality, I'd say that it takes a little practice to get used to.I don't usually write reviews this in depth but I felt compelled to because I really do think this is the best locomotive that DTG have released to date, and at \u00a35.99 in the summer sale it is an absolute bargain. I'd recommend this at full price.. Absolutely stunning loco. Arguably the best DLC made by Dovetail. My review: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=N1iGBD0xWjo. Totally OPAC winshield from cab view.I have referred this to the repair shop.....will give it 5 stars if fixed..OK, I have attached 3 sets of views one inside the cab and the other outside (sorry can't post here). You can see the difference in clarity of each set. This was the Koblenz=Glasco QD from GlascoThis happens on all scenarios and routes: others are observing the same views.I think the problem is that the whole inside win shield is OPAC instead of just the view outside the wipers range were the rain drops are. This area should be opac but were the wipers operate it should be clear.I have used other engines were the win shield wiped area is clear but the area beyond the wipers range has rain drops and is opac. What say you????PS: It is a very nice engine!. good unit, looks great and sounds decent. This Scotrail Class 68 is a real winner! Beautifully modeled with excellent functionality, it is clear this add-on was developed with great care. It is pleasing to the eyes and fun to operate also!. Lovely livery and the sounds are really nice too. You could say it is a decent piece of DLC, but I wouldn't say anything better about it. There are many flaws which I am going to mension now:First one which really puts me and others off is the fact companies like DRS and Chiltern Railways also use the 68's, but DTG haven't bothered to add these liveries into the pack. Second of all, the brake physics are AWFUL and i mean AWFUL. I often experience minor lag spikes when driving, and often the brakes go into emergency (because the brake is very sensitive and if you hold the ' key, which is the brake key, for too long it will trigger the emergency brakes). Also, I got stopped because of the application of the emergency brakes, and every time I moved off the brakes would jump back into emergency again. DTG PLEASE FIX THIS FOR GOODNESS SAKE PLEASE For the benefit of others, a DRS reskin is available off BHReskins website. This is also followed by a Chiltern Railways one but I have had problems with the inner layer of the engine textures so I recommend you go get JustTrains chiltern mainline which has it (and it should install correctly)
